Texas Monthy Magazine
This bird has a grain type texture used for light and shading to fit for the theme with the cover. The reason why it has grains everywhere to have the Texas feeling while looking at the cover. Plus with the lights and the dark with the birds using vector mask helps the bird to stand out more in the cover.
The branch has more of a deeper darker color because of its dying nature. This also represent this magazine has an autumn type feeling while looking at the cover art. With it vector curve line helping making the branch look smooth rather than look pointy.
